AFFF Decontamination of Firefighting Vehicles

FireTox was engaged to assist the National Research Council of Canada in evaluating the effectiveness of procedures used to remove AFFF and associated PFAS contaminates from aircraft rescue and fire fighting (ARFF) vehicles. The project included a review of Department of National Defence (DND) trial protocols, sampling and analysis of foam and rinse effluent, and ecotoxicity evaluation.
